Making Shuffling Kirby

On a Kirby guide for Smash Brothers Ultimate by Juggleboy on Youtube, they did a little shuffle animation of Kirby dancing back and forth a lot, and I like it, so I decided to try to draw a looping gif of that

(the Kirby video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AvsTGwB77mM&t=1116s)

Section 1: Sketching

Starting off by sketching a bunch of Kirby’s in different poses of the animation to try to get an idea of how to draw it

Section 2: To Computer

I drew the feet, body, hands, face, and hair all on different layers (some of them being on separate layers is probably just a waste of time, but it keeps it easier for me)

Section 3: Tweaking

I like how most of it looks at the moment, but there’s a few things I want to change

-the right foot when Kirby is facing the camera- move it up and angle it less

-I’m not happy with the feet shape either so I’m going to mess with that a bit

-make the keyframes of Kirby facing the camera last one frame longer

-I also forgot the little gem things on the crown

Section 4: Color

I like how it looks now, so it’s time to add color

(I color the lines so you can’t see them, like I did for the Kirby idle animation)
