Okay, so here’s my idea:

Section 1: Sketching
If your interested, there’s three poses I drew in my sketchbook (just reflected them for when he faced the other direction):
-bottom extreme- where he’s just about to push up with his feet
-one frame in between the extremes so you can follow the movement easier
-top extreme- where he’s stretched a bit and standing on his tippy toes

Section 2: Body
First I’ll draw the body, feet, and arms to make sure I like how the main movement looks before I draw his face

Section 3: Face
Since the final will change in color frequently, I decided to fill in the silhouette to keep the face one color at once (except for the eye shine and his speech lines)

Section 4: Color
I colored each pose in monochrome
-kirby colors (pink/red) -blob color (yellow)
-green -blue
-purple
